The questions you ask!

Q. How can a God whom you say is good, allow so much suffering in the world?

A. 1,000's of people ask this question because they have lost someone or seen a loved one suffer or they know of such people. And when these questions are asked people need answers and they need hope.
Suffering and death came into the world because man rebelled against his Creator, God. Adam and Eve had a choice either to obey or disobey God and they chose to disobey. Ever since that time we have all wanted to live life in our own way instead of following God's way. Much suffering is caused by evil people; terrorism, rape, murder, theft and violence. We cannot blame God for the things that people do to each other.

Q. Why then, does God not get rid of evil people now?

A. If God were to do that where would He draw the line?       Hitler, Stalin, Harold Shipman and many others we agree were evil and deserve to be punished severely.  But is it not also evil and wrong for a person to abuse children, or to commit domestic violence. Where do we want the line to be drawn? Is it not evil for a man to walk out on his wife and children. What about thieves and cruel and unkind words, words that hurt as much as abuse may hurt. Words that really hurt.
If we are honest, we all have to admit that we have caused pain and distress to others and when we do so, that too is wrong, it is evil. We might just find that if God did start to get rid of evil people He might get rid of you!
